As a businessman

Don is the founder and CEO of HomeLife Companies,
one of the most respected senior living and healthcare
management consulting firms in the country. Prior to starting HomeLife, Don served as vice-president and chief development, marketing and housing officer for United Church Homes Inc. in Marion.

As a Councilman

Don is known as the architect for revitalizing downtown Delaware.
Under his guidance and tenacity, he pushed through legislation and secured grants that bricked sidewalks, added crossing signs, and planted trees along the city thoroughfares. He personally invested in the city, purchasing downtown buildings that he restored to former glory and attracted new businesses and affordable apartments.

As Delaware County Treasurer

As treasurer, Don created an investment team that brought in a record $xx million to Delaware County. He also established a special division to collect delinquent property taxes. After inheriting a nightmare of 950 parcels with delinquent taxes exceeding $7 million. During his tenure as treasurer, Don collected more than $26 million in delinquent taxes without having to foreclose on a single property.

As a Dedicated Delaware Countian

Don has served as the treasurer and chief financial officer of the Delaware County Finance Authority. He also served on the Delaware Airport Commission, the Delaware City Finance Committee, Delaware City Parks and Recreation Commission, the Balance Growth Task Force, the Delaware County Community Improvement Corporation, and the city of Delaware’s Historic Preservation Commission.

As a Family Man

Don and his wife Pamela have three sons – D.J., Morgan and Brayden,
all of whom graduated from Olentangy Local Schools.
